Siebel CRM Systems, Inc. was a software company principally engaged in the design, development, marketing, and support of customer relationship management (CRM) applications. The company was founded by Thomas Siebel and Patricia House in 1993. At first known mainly for its sales force automation products, the company expanded into the broader CRM market. By the late 1990s, Siebel Systems was the dominant CRM vendor, peaking at 45% market share in 2002.

On September 12, 2005, Oracle Corporation announced it had agreed to buy Siebel Systems for $5.8 billion. Siebel is now a brand name owned by Oracle Corporation.

The CRM software development environment is known as Siebel Developer and those skilled in such are known as Siebel Consultants.

    old ux design with secure and performing background. The bad news is there are many competitors who does good looking frontend with rigid backend.

    still has irregularities and system down which can be unacceptable from that kind of big company. It can be also slowdown time or load independently. Fortunately they have good supporting system with quick reaction. UX can be better. Larger reports can be a headache. Overall, it's under developing period with the best DB engineers. Hope they will solve soon.

    Better UX and performance and usability comparing Oracle Fusion but still under the average, especially UX is still old fashioned oracle design. User community is limited comparing salesforce so you need to find and expert to solve your problem. That can cause slow reaction time in support. Search module is not well developed such as SF

    it would be a little more simple and lighter. UX is also a nightmare. Best thing is i think security. We didn't want to share our company secrets to a new startup style company.

    if you are a big corporation then you use Oracle services already. It can be a good alternative to make a CRM upgrade for your organization. Otherwise lack of time and money.
